Welcome to Priyankara. Our story began not in a fashion design studio, but during my journey as an educator for over a decade. Spending more than ten years teaching taught me to look deeply at the choices we make every single day and how they impact our future. When I transitioned from education to creating a conscious lifestyle brand, my mission remained exactly the same: to build awareness, share knowledge, and offer an authentic alternative to a fast fashion world.
The name Priyankara holds a deeply personal meaning for me it is inspired entirely by my daughter, Priyanka, who is the true heartbeat and inspiration behind everything we create. As a mother and a founder, I wanted to build a legacy that honors the earth while protecting the people who live on it.
At Priyankara, we believe that clothing should be a natural extension of your well-being. Modern fashion relies heavily on synthetic polyester fabrics that trap heat, prevent your skin from breathing, and rely on toxic manufacturing processes. Living in the UAE climate, our skin needs the pure, uncompromised comfort of nature.
That is why we are completely committed to eliminating synthetic materials. We work exclusively with premium organic cambric cotton and lightweight, breathable textiles. Our garments are lovingly treated with traditional, ancient herbal dyeing processes utilizing time tested botanicals like pure indigo, madder root, neem, and turmeric.
